#110: don't wait for it
π Welcome to the 110th issue of Out of Curiosity, a weekly newsletter promoting ideas to help get 1% better everyday.
My name is Reza, and every week, I go through nearly 100 pieces of content (from books and podcasts to newsletters and tweets), and bring you the best in this newsletter.
Well, you know, we have a limited life, right? We have limited resources and we get to live it however we want. I just think it is really tragic if we don't make the most of it.
And, you know, it's funny. It depends on who you talk to, because there are people who kind of get very hung up on the kind of thing I just said, and you can kind of go too far with it. And then you get really stiff and grimaced about, oh, I got to make as much money as possible. Oh, I got to acquire as much status as possible. And in my mind, that actually isn't serious.
So when I describe seriousness in my essay, that is slightly unserious. It's kind of a fixation on a particular model of trying to make some number go up. So if you read my essay, the conclusion is that seriousness is love and curiosity expressed earnestly over a long period of time.
What makes me so unbelievably excited about AI is it breaks down many of the barriers for maximizing the impact of a single, smart, ambitious individual.
With the tools we have today you can offload administrative thought and maximize using your human brain for creativity, access and even implement specialized skills without necessarily having to compromise on vision, create more effective time by allowing automations to work while you donβt.

It is about understanding people as people and not just as consumers, customers, members, and users.
It is about getting people to advocate for a brand to other people.
It is about upgrading the status of marketing people and upgrading marketing people.
π Until next week,
π
